SOLUTIONSplus is an international flagship project to support the global transition to sustainable mobility. In the context of the EU-funded SOLUTIONSplus project 45 partners and over 100 associated partners work together on transformative change towards sustainable urban mobility through innovative and integrated electric mobility solutions. The team of local authorities, knowledge and finance partners, industry, networks and international organizations will help boosting the availability of public and shared electric vehicles, foster the efficiency of operations and support the integration of different types of e-mobility in urban areas that meet the needs users and local conditions in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Shared mobility has the potential to become an important driver for sustainable mobility. The market for shared mobility services is growing quickly and cities are working towards integrating new shared mobility options with public transportation (PT) under public Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platforms, to allow single booking and payment. This endeavour still faces limitations. In addressing these challenges, GEMINI’s vision is to accelerate the progress towards climate neutrality by reinforcing modal shift through the demonstration and uptake of new shared mobility services, active transport modes, and micromobility and their integration with PT in new generation MaaS services. Drivers of this transition will be the GEMINI Mobility Living Labs (MLL) in 8 mission cities (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Ljubljana, Munich, Paris, Porto and Turin), engaging local communities in the implementation of their SUMPs and the co-creation, development and adoption of promising innovative mobility solutions.

About STREnGth_M

The STREnGth_M consortium will contribute significantly to the planning of research and innovation in Europe by identifying future research needs in the field of road transport, by updating and supporting the coordination of strategic research agendas and roadmaps in the field and by facilitating continuous exchange between road transport research related Horizon Europe partnerships and platforms. It will further analyse research, innovation and cooperation capacities in Member States, explore funding instruments on national and regional level and assess potentials of national and regional roadmaps. Within STREnGth_M the global progress of electric mobility will be tracked while measuring the feasibility of innovative solutions for prospective and emerging markets in Africa, Asia and Latin America. This will contribute to strengthen exisiting and even forge new links between European, national and regional programmes and support structures for internationa

What is SCALE?

SCALE is a three-year project (2022-2025) co-funded by the new Horizon Europe Programme with a budget of around 10 million EUR. It aims to advance smart charging infrastructure and facilitate the mass deployment of electric vehicles.

Preceded by FOSTER-ROAD (2013-2016) and FUTURE-RADAR (2017-2020), FUTURE-HORIZON started in February 2021 and ended in May 2023.

In particular, FUTURE-HORIZON pursued the following objectives:

  • Provide high-quality input for ERTRAC research roadmaps, strategic research agendas and other implementation documents.

  • Assess RTR strategies in Europe, other established markets and emerging markets.

  • Support capacity-building for local and national policy makers and practitioners, to generate and implement innovative sustainable mobility solutions.

  • Utilize the expertise of a well-developed stakeholder network, incorporating also external advice in project outputs.

  • Develop an ERTRAC dissemination strategy and communicate key ERTRAC activities and publications
